PIONEERING INTERACTIVE RESTAURANT INAMO TO OPEN SECOND LONDON SITE

Danny Potter and Noel Hunwick, the operators behind inamo, the pan-Asian restaurant and bar in Soho, London, that features virtual menus navigated via table top projections, are opening a new site situated on Lower Regent Street this Winter 2010.
Their second venture will be named inamo st james; a site of over 8,000 ft?, with a total capacity of 300 across the restaurant, bar & sushi bar areas. The bar, which will be serving an extensive cocktail list, will be promoted and run as a destination in its own right, and will feature a team picked from some of London?s finest cocktail bars.
Noel Hunwick says: ?The new site offers remarkable potential and complex challenges in equal measure. Naturally we?re delighted with the success to date of our first inamo but understand that this is a completely new project, irrespective of certain similarities, and the scale of the restaurant is not to be taken lightly. We?ve worked hard, however, to put together a talented, and crucially experienced team in the kitchen, bar and FOH.?
inamo st james will present an entirely different interior design from the first inamo with the focus on distinctive natural elements such as back-lit semi-precious stone and a Japanese garden with water feature. Juxtaposed with the impressive technology these aspects will create a distinguished ambiance in keeping with the elegant Mayfair area.
Two stylish private dining rooms are available that will accommodate 16 guests each, and the venue is the perfect setting for larger events. The site was formerly occupied by Christopher Corbin and Jeremy King?s St Alban.
INAMO ST. JAMES ? TEAM
The team at Inamo St. James is a mixture of new recruits, including Stephan Venter (Assistant GM ? ex Soho House), Bartek Rusicki (Restaurant Manager ? ex Sanderson Hotel), Martin Tarnoczy (Restaurant Manager ? ex PinchitoTapas) and staff from within, including Anthony Lyon (General Manager ? ex Hakkasan, Taman Gang), Sebastian Francis (Head Chef ? ex Sanderson Hotel), and Rudolph Galand (Bar Manager ? ex Buddha Bar, Nobu).
Owners Danny Potter and Noel Hunwick originally met as undergraduates at Oxford University. The inspiration for the Inamo concept was the desire to give customers control over their dining experience
