Better Business

This panel debate will address the question of how businesses go green, what help is available and how to get the most out of the tools that are available.  The panel, drawn from a range of hospitality businesses in England will present their views on what has helped them develop their green business plan.

There are over a hundred tools available in Britain, most of them free, to help businesses improve their resource efficiency and become more profitable.  The result of the Comprehensive Spending Review will be challenging the organisations who operate these tools to ensure they are effective and worth their investment.  Are these tools useful to businesses?  How do they use them? Which are the best and which should we keep to ensure hospitality businesses can get help at doing business even better.

This panel consists of; Andrew Cole, General Manager, Ramada Hotel Birmingham/Solihull; Philip Newman-Hall Director and General Manager Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons; Richard & Dee Slade, Owner/Managers, Battlesteads in Wark, Northumberland.

The panel session is chaired by Jason Freezer, Sustainability Project Manager, VisitEngland.
